In Parliament, We Trust.
As Parlimentarians we believe that an event like Pecha Kucha is an important part of showcasing the varied and creative talent we have in Charleston. As Pecha Kucha organizers we get fired up (and hopefully not fired from our day jobs for neglect) in putting each night together, but it does take some green. If you would like to donate and help keep Pecha Kucha rolling, please select an amount from the drop down below. If you feel like you need a little something for your donation, a Pecha Kucha representative will gladly tap dance for you.

PKN9: Whisky in the House

February 17th, 2011

Fellow Pecha Kuchians,

Parliament is pleased to announce that local artist, Patch Whisky, will be doing LIVE ART during Pecha Kucha #9.

Patch will arrive a little before the doors open at 6:00pm and start working on a live piece of art that will be raffled off THAT NIGHT.

With a degree in graphic design and an emphasis on painting, Patch has emerged as a fine artist and sculptor. He has been exhibited in several galleries along the east coast including Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Brooklyn, Savannah, and Miami, while maintaining a steady presence for his skateboard designs, clothing line and vinyl record paintings. He is well known for creating one of the World’s longest skateboard in November of 2008. He was recently featured in the West Virginia State Journal as one of the 55 Good things in West Virginia. Patch now resides in Charleston, SC painting everyday by the Ocean. Check out his current stuff at www.patchwhisky.com
